What you get in the free channel
- About 40 alerts a day, from 8:00 to midnight (Madrid time), spread across sports.
- Only big moves: drops of 20% or more in the sharp reference market.
- Pre-match only: every alert is sent before the event starts.
- One bet per message: sport and league, match and start time, market and period, the selection and the price before and after the drop.
- A button to check your price on BetTheDrop and a button to try Pro free for 7 days.
How to read a free alert in 30 seconds
- Look at the market, the period and the exact selection: a handicap of −1.5 is not −1.
- Look at the drop: the reference price fell by that much, so the market now thinks that outcome is more likely.
- Open your bookmaker and find the same selection. If it still pays close to the old price, it may have value.
- Check it before betting: tap the button and type your price to see if it's above the fair price.

How to check whether your bookmaker still has value
A drop tells you the market has moved; it doesn't tell you whether your price is still good. For that you need the fair price: the reference price with the bookmaker's margin removed. If your bookmaker pays more than the fair price, the bet has value; if it pays less, let it go. You can work it out with the free no-vig calculator or the dropping odds calculator; on Pro every alert already shows it.
Why the free alerts are pre-match only
Before kick-off a sharp price drop usually means new information: team news, line-ups, injuries or large informed bets. During the game prices move with the score and the clock, so a live drop is rarely information that slower bookmakers haven't seen yet.
Red flags in Telegram betting channels
- Promises of guaranteed profit, «fixed matches» or «100% wins».
- Screenshots of winning slips instead of a public record of every pick.
- Pressure to pay now or join a VIP group to get the «real» tips.
- No information about who runs the channel.
BetTheDrop measures every alert against the closing price and publishes the results, the bad ones included: see alert results. No alert is a guarantee: bet only what you can afford to lose and read our responsible gambling page.
