Fractional odds chart (UK ladder)
The traditional bookmaker ladder of fractional prices, from heavy favourites to long shots, with the matching decimal and American odds. The implied probability is what each price breaks even at, before removing the bookmaker's margin.

How to read the chart
- Decimal odds are the total return per unit staked, stake included. At 2.50 a stake of 10 returns 25.
- Fractional odds show profit against stake: at 5/2 you win 5 for every 2 staked.
- American odds show the profit on a 100 stake when positive (+150) and the stake needed to win 100 when negative (−200).
- Implied probability is 1 ÷ decimal odds. It includes the bookmaker's margin, so it overstates the real chance: see implied probability and what is the vig.
Converting by hand
| From | To decimal |
|---|---|
| Fractional a/b | 1 + a ÷ b |
| American +x | 1 + x ÷ 100 |
| American −x | 1 + 100 ÷ x |
To turn a price into a fair price without the margin, use the no-vig calculator. To see what a bookmaker's margin is, use the vig calculator. The converter above and the odds converter page do the same job for any number.
