Disclosure: BetTheDrop is our product, so read this with that in mind. Everything about the other tools comes from their public websites, checked on 20 October 2026, and may have changed: check each site before you pay. Prices are as shown to a visitor from Spain. Two ways to find value bets
Every tool on this page compares bookmaker prices with a fair price, usually Pinnacle's price with its margin removed. Scanners check hundreds of bookmakers all the time and list every price above the fair one. Dropping odds alerts wait for the sharp price to fall and tell you which old prices are now too high. Scanners give you more bets; alerts give you fewer, faster ones. The difference is explained in alerts vs scanners vs arbitrage.

The tools one by one
RebelBetting is one of the best-known value betting scanners. According to its website it covers 120+ bookmakers, includes sure bets as well as value bets, and tracks and settles your bets automatically. Its 14-day trial needs no card. Good if you want a mature scanner with a lot of guidance for beginners.
BetBurger started as an arbitrage (sure bet) service and also lists value bets, pre-match and live. It has a free plan. Good if you want sure bets and value bets in the same place.
Bet Hero finds value bets with its own software and lets you follow them; its website offers a 7-day trial for €1. Good if you'd rather follow a ready list than check prices yourself.
OddsNotifier is mainly a dropping odds alert service on Telegram, and sells an EV+ Scanner from £24.99 a month (included in its Elite plan). Good if you want both approaches from one company.
ValueBetFactory compares soft bookmakers with Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange in its +EV Scanner, with Telegram alerts and a bet tracker. Good if you want exchange prices as a second reference.
Pinnacle Odds Dropper alerts you when Pinnacle's odds drop and adds opening-line and limit alerts on its top plan. Good if you follow Pinnacle's moves closely: BetTheDrop vs Pinnacle Odds Dropper.
BetTheDrop takes the alert approach. It watches Pinnacle's pre-match prices in 13 sports and sends one Telegram message per bet within seconds of a drop, with the fair price, the market's limit and a 0–10 score for the move; Pro adds player props for the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB. One tap tells you whether your bookmaker still pays more than the fair price. Every alert is measured against Pinnacle's fair close and the last 30 days are public, as expected value, not winnings: alert results.
Which one fits you
- You want as many value bets as possible: a scanner such as RebelBetting, BetBurger or ValueBetFactory.
- You also want sure bets: RebelBetting or BetBurger.
- You prefer a ready list to follow: Bet Hero.
- You want fewer, faster bets from sharp price drops, on Telegram, with the fair price and public results: BetTheDrop, or Pinnacle Odds Dropper if you also want opening-line alerts.
- You bet US player props: BetTheDrop Pro covers the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB.
What to check before you pay
- The fair price source. Value is only as good as the reference: most tools use Pinnacle.
- Speed. Value disappears quickly; ask how long it takes from the price move to your screen.
- Evidence. Prefer tools that show how their bets did against the closing price, not screenshots of wins.
- Limits. Every value betting method gets accounts limited sooner or later: why bookmakers limit accounts.
Expected value against the fair closing price, not actual winnings: you can lose money even on +EV bets. How we measure it.
How to test any of them in a week
Ignore the marketing and compare the prices you can actually take. Keep a log for seven days: for every alert, the price at your bookmaker and the fair price when you looked, then the closing price. A service is worth paying for only if the prices you take beat the fair close more often than not. The step-by-step plan is in how to choose an odds alert service, and you can record it all in the free bet tracker template.
